Product Description
Abyssinian cat on back of blue chair. The history of the abyssinian cat goes back to the middle 1800's. Abyssinian cats were imported from Ethiopia to Britain. The abyssinian breed came about because cat breeders wanted an Egyptian-like cat. Abyssinian cats for the most part have a sweet temperament, are intelligent and are usually obedient. There are several varieties of these cats. The different varieties of these cats are different colors. Some of the colors are black, dark brown, deep fawn, chocolate, pinkish gray and deep steel blue. This is an original work, hand-drawn in pastel, on acid-free paper 9 inches wide by 12 inches high; there are no reproductions and it is unframed. It is signed "the Porter family" and has the artists' logo and individual artwork identification number, all at the lower right of the drawing.
